I couldn't get my old pre m-audio midisport 2x2 working with Snow Leopard and m-audio's current drivers. M-audio claimed that connecting through a usb hub "might" work. I didn't want to invest in yet another bit of hardware for a possible solution so after a little searching and experimenting I came upon this solution and everything now seems to work fine.

First I downloaded an old driver MIDI_USB_OSX_3.2.2.dmg . Then this firmware loader utility MidiSportLoader-12-dl.pkg.zip . And then followed the instructions on this page . After rebooting the computer and interface now seem to be communicating quite well. 2ff7e9595c
